Office 2007 icons missing from files shown in folder view

Have you ever found all of your Microsoft Office files’ icons turn into this?

This could be a weird problem you hope you’d never meet. But one of my friends did and it took me hours to put those icons into work again. Just in case, here is a workaround:

• First try this.
• Second try this. It’s a zip file, rename and extract it to C:\windows\installer. (Replace C:\windows by your %windir% of course.)
